Roadmap Implementation: Building a Foundation for Modern Innovation

In a previous engagement, Trility helped this client identify and prioritize initiatives to modernize existing technology systems and help them improve their AM Best Rating. The highest priorities that focused on building a stable and secure foundation for these efforts were addressed in this engagement. To achieve the rating, the client needed to demonstrate that processes, procedures, and physical assets were inventoried, secure, compliant, and auditable. 

Numerous databases existed throughout the organization. Accessibility, ownership, source, contents, and usage were unclear and resulted in an inability to leverage the data to reduce security risks and create operational efficiencies. It also impeded the client from generating meaningful insights from data.

To improve their AM Best Rating, Trility helped identify what needed to change and to what extent and then assisted with execution. By referencing initial client interviews and working with key stakeholders, the team identified risks associated with user permissions and administrative access and developed a secure framework for several initiatives.

A top-down redesign of the network with Cisco Firepower, Switches, ISE, Anyconnect, and multiple Solarwinds tools, which provided a unified network, access, and security management capability.

PROOF POINT: Created operational efficiencies through automating logging and monitoring – enabling the resolution of support issues in minutes instead of hours.

The client strengthened overall security, created numerous operational efficiencies, and laid the groundwork for future initiatives. Outcomes included: 

• Strengthened overall security by implementing role-based access, multi-factor authentication, and centralized management and alerting for virus threats and activities.

• Increased capabilities to pass audits. 

• Improved security, increased bandwidth, and created operational efficiencies with streamlined network management.

• Reduced cost of operations (COO) with automating logging and monitoring that reduces time for reviews and audits and improves compliance verification.
